### 🎯 Your Main Objective

**Goal:** Gain entry to the castle by obtaining `1x Furlin` (server currency)

To achieve this, you'll need to complete a trading quest with **Mark**, but first you must venture into the dangerous **Ent Forest** to gather the required materials.

### 📋 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

#### 1. Meet Mark the Trader

* **Location:** On a log near where you spawned
* **Quest:** Trade `boar meat` for `1x Furlin`
* **Important:** You'll need boar meat first before you can complete this trade

#### 2. Journey to the Ent Forest

**Warning:** The Ent Forest hides many dangers! Be prepared for combat.

* Head towards the **Ent Forest** from spawn
* **Equipment Check:** Make sure you have your `amethyst tools` ready
* Stay alert - this area contains hostile creatures

#### 3. Meet Garen (Side Quest)

* **Location:** You'll encounter **Garen** on your way through the forest
* **Side Quest:** *Clear up the Ent Forest*
* **Reward:** Additional experience and loot
* **Note:** This is optional but recommended for extra rewards

#### 4. Reach the Boar Area

* **Location:** At the end of the path on the **right side** of the forest
* **Objective:** Hunt boars and collect `boar meat`
* **Tip:** You may need multiple pieces, so gather extra while you're there

#### 5. Hidden Boss Challenge (Optional)

For brave adventurers seeking an extra challenge:

* **Location:** **Left path**, behind the hill in the forest
* **Difficulty:** High - prepare for a tough fight!
* **Reward:** Special loot and bragging rights
* **Tip:** Make sure you're well-equipped before attempting this encounter

#### 6. Return to Mark

# Introduction

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Dragon Shield consists of three worlds excluding the nether and end. \
\
(You can press the Heading of any world to go it's page and learn more about it)

### [Aten](/modded-survival/about-aten)

The first and easiest world, perfect for building your base and starting your adventure. Explore naturally generating dungeons and encounter adorable new creatures like boars, buffalo, penguins, and more! Aten is your safe haven, the place you’ll return to after every hard-fought battle. And rest assured, this world will never reset! We will just expand it if needed although that won't be for a while as the current worldsize is 150000 border!

### [Arg](/modded-survival/about-arg)

Our second world is a resource-rich dungeon realm! While you can’t build here, you’re free to break and gather all the resources you need. Dungeons spawn more frequently, offering fresh loot with each adventure. Arg resets monthly to keep things exciting, and features hourly boss battles, with a new boss spawning every 4 hours somewhere in the world for you to challenge.

### [Durel](#durel)

The third and most challenging world—welcome to your nightmare. Building is off-limits here, but you can mine in search of **custom ores stronger than netherite** while facing relentless attacks from terrifying custom mobs like goblins, kobolds, and even dragons. Durel is not for the faint-hearted—this truly hellish landscape will push your survival skills to the limit.

# Keep Inventory

## Keep Inventory System

Dragon Shield uses a flexible **Keep Inventory** system that varies between different areas of the server to provide the best experience for each gameplay style.

### 🎮 System Overview

Keep Inventory determines whether you keep your items and experience when you die, or if they drop to the ground like in vanilla Minecraft.

### 🌱 Modded Survival Areas

#### Optional Keep Inventory

In **modded survival areas** (like Aten), Keep Inventory is **optional**:

**Default Setting:** Keep Inventory is **ON by default** **Player Control:** Use `/keepinv` command to toggle it off if you prefer **Flexibility:** Choose the experience that suits your playstyle

#### Why It's Optional

* **Player Preference:** Some players enjoy the risk/reward of item loss
* **Traditional Experience:** Option to play with vanilla death mechanics
* **Customizable Difficulty:** Adjust challenge level to your comfort

### ⚔️ MMORPG Areas

#### Always Enabled

In **MMORPG areas** of the server, Keep Inventory is **always ON**:

**No Toggle Option:** Cannot be disabled in MMORPG zones **Consistency:** Same rules for all players in these areas **Protection:** Prevents frustration from losing quest items and progression gear

#### Why It's Always On

* **Prevents Confusion:** Clear, consistent rules across MMORPG content
* **Player Protection:** Prevents loss of important quest items and rare gear
* **Progression Safety:** Protects valuable equipment needed for advancement
* **Quality of Life:** Focuses gameplay on challenges rather than item recovery

### ⚠️ Important: Experience Loss

#### MMORPG Areas Only

**You lose ALL your experience (XP) when you die in MMORPG areas**

Why Different Rules?

* **Modded Survival:** Focus on creative building and exploration without harsh penalties
* **MMORPG Areas:** Maintains challenge and consequence for quest/combat content

# Custom Enchantments

You and I both know just Sharp V on a sword doesn't cut it.

## **How Are Custom Enchants Obtained?** ![](/files/TBmCZ6998PwGdOlZSGhn)

You can either do /ce and buy a random rarity book using exp, or get lucky and get one when using an enchanting table. Once receiving a custom book to apply the enchant put into an anvil with your item.

#### Each section of the Custom Enchantment GUI is color-coded so it's easier to process.

Marked Custom Enchants Menu

**Ok let's now explain what's what:**\
\ **Yellow Area**\
Here you're able to choose which random enchant book you'd like to buy, sorted by rarity.\
\ **Red Area**\
When clicking on the anvil icon in the marked red area you'll be taken to the alchemist menu.

In the alchemist menu you're able to combine two enchantment books of the same type and rarity and level to get a higher leveled book.

It basically works like an anvil.\
\ **Green Area**\
In the Tinkerer menu you're able to re-cycle old enchanted items into EXP bottles.\
\ **Blue Area**\
This is the custom enchant item shop menu. You're able to buy items using EXP. Each item explained:

### 👋 Introduction

Our server features a robust Jobs system that lets you earn money by doing what you enjoy most in Minecraft. Whether you're mining deep for rare ores, hunting dangerous mobs, or exploring new territories, there's a job that fits your playstyle.

Each job has unique characteristics, rewards, and challenges. This guide will help you understand how jobs work, which ones might be best for you, and how to maximize your earnings as you play.

### 🔍 Job Basics

#### Joining Jobs

To join a job, use the command `/jobs join [jobname]`. For example, to join the Miner job, you would type:

```
/jobs join miner
```

You can check which jobs are available with `/jobs browse`, and view your current jobs with `/jobs stats`.

> **NOTE:** There are limits to how many jobs you can join at once, based on your playtime rank. See the Playtime Ranks & Job Limits section for details.

#### Leveling Up

As you perform actions related to your job, you'll earn experience points. Once you've earned enough experience, you'll level up in that job. Each level:

* Increases the money you earn from job-related actions
* Provides a level-up reward (money and XP)
* Gets progressively harder to achieve

To check your current level and progress, use `/jobs stats`.

#### Earning Money

You earn money automatically by performing actions related to your job. The amount earned depends on:

* Your job level (higher levels = more money)
* The specific action performed (rarer actions = more money)
* The number of jobs you have (more jobs = slight penalty per job)

Money is added directly to your balance, which you can check with `/money`.

#### Job Commands

Here are the most useful job commands:

* `/jobs join [jobname]` - Join a specific job
* `/jobs leave [jobname]` - Leave a job
* `/jobs browse` - See available jobs and descriptions
* `/jobs stats` - View your current jobs, levels, and progress
* `/jobs top [jobname]` - See the top players for a specific job
* `/jobs shop` - Open the jobs shop for special perks

### 🧰 Job Types

Jobs are ranked by difficulty from ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (hardest) to ⭐ (easiest).

### 💼 Job Strategies

1. **Hunter + Miner Combo:** Hunt dangerous mobs while mining valuable ores
2. **Enchanter + Smelter:** Process materials and enchant for high-value rewards
3. **Boss Hunting:** Focus on defeating boss mobs as a Hunter for big payouts
4. **Deep Mining:** Target deepslate diamond and emerald ores as a Miner

#### Easiest Progression

1. **Explorer:** The easiest job to level up by simply traveling
2. **Farmer:** Set up automated farms for steady, low-effort progress
3. **Smelter:** Process materials in large batches
4. **Woodcutter:** Create tree farms for renewable resources

| Viceroy | 294 | 8 | All Job Slots |

To check your playtime rank, use the command `/nextrank`.

**Q: How do I switch jobs?**\
A: Use `/jobs leave [old job]` followed by `/jobs join [new job]`. Note that there's a cooldown period when leaving a job before you can rejoin it.

**Q: Will I lose my level if I leave a job?**\
A: No, your level is saved. If you rejoin the same job later, you'll start at the same level.

**Q: Which job makes the most money?**\
A: Miner has the highest income potential, followed by Hunter and Enchanter. However, the "best" job depends on your playstyle and what activities you enjoy.

**Q: Do I get penalties for having multiple jobs?**\
A: Yes, there's a small income reduction (1% per additional job) to balance having multiple income sources.

**Q: Can I join all jobs at once?**\
A: No, you're limited by your playtime rank. See the Playtime Ranks & Job Limits section.

**Q: What happens if I place and then break a block?**\
A: For many jobs (especially Miner), there are penalties for breaking blocks you recently placed to prevent farming.

**Q: How do level rewards work?**\
A: Each time you level up in a job, you receive a money bonus and XP points. These rewards increase with higher levels.

# Progression Guide

How to actually progress on the server, there's multiple paths you could take we will list some of them there's ofcourse multiple roads but we do recommend following this one as a general idea.

# Stage I

Welcome hope you stay here for a while!

### What is the server about?

Dragon Shield is a MMO RPG variant of minecraft mixed with survival and quests to give a true feeling of a premium modded experience without having to download anything. The server is ever developing we never do resets and we plan to truly make a giant community. Our priority for updates is world building, story development, bug fixes and stability. We do add other stuff. There's also active random events to earn you in-game money or perks.

### Ok that sounds great, what now?

There's a couple paths you can take at the start I'll be giving you a couple of tips. First of all talk to Marija at spawn finish the pig quest for 3k, and then head to Jason to accept the creeper quest. After that you may start your journey by exploring all the different worlds. \
We recommend heading to Aten as it's the easiest and you can actually make your first base there without dying constantly. You can't build in Arg as it's a dungeon world which resets so there's always a fresh amount of dungeons to loot. Durel is Arg like experience, but much harder, levelled mobs, hypoxia and fatigue when mining along side other deadly custom mobs. But it's the place to go to for custom ores! (You do need a netherite pickaxe first)

### Settled down?

If you decided to settle down or to immediately get into action it doesn't really matter. Ideally your current goal in **Stage I** is to get netherite. You can do this through the normal boring method of going to the nether and mining it. Another option is to loot the [custom structures](/modded-survival/structures), while the third is to exploit the player economy and look through player warps to see if someone is actually selling any. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter how you got it.

# Stage II

### Ok got the netherite what can I do now?

We like to call this the **exploration stage**. The nether and end are both custom, and have **Stage II** recommended player gear which isn't necessary but it will make your life easier. From [custom nether](/modded-survival/nether/items) items to [custom end](/modded-survival/end/items) armor and items. There's alot you can choose from. You can craft ancient gear from netherite and chorus plating or hallowed ingots. All these can be found in end dungeons/villages. \
Now that you geared up and maxed out in netherite, it's time for your first boss the **Holy Knight**. To unlock the world with Custom Ore you need to defeat this boss. It's location and info can be found [here. ](/important-concepts/mechanics/progression-bosses/i-holy-knight)

### Baby Steps (We're very proud of you)

Now that you've explored until your soul was full of the beauty of the world. The next step is to head back and complete the Quest line until Alruna. You should be able to complete all quests in enchanted netherite armor. There's also [custom enchants](/important-concepts/custom-enchantments) we recommend you look into as they are an important factor of play. Another factor of play for boosting HP early game is [Forbidden Fruits](/important-concepts/mechanics/forbidden-fruits)! They can be gained from fighting [hourly bosses](/modded-survival/about-arg/tiered-bosses/bosses) in Arg, or taking on [structure bosses](/modded-survival/structures). It's time to head back to the end and find your self some [Enderite](/modded-survival/end/custom-ores). It's used for crafting molds for all custom gear! Omg it's time.. :)))

# Stage III

Congratulations for making it here!

### You've made it past 61% of the community!

We were last left of in the end with [Enderite](/modded-survival/end/custom-ores), now that you have enough for molds It's time to get some Malachite! Head to 5k+ cords in [Durel](/durel/custom-ores) where it's more commonly found. Once you have a fully enchanted Malachite set it's time to fight the first [**Progression Boss - Maalik**](/important-concepts/mechanics/progression-bosses/ii-maalik-the-forsaken). He drops a solid sword stronger than Malachite which has a **Quick Hand** rune slot. You can find the rune trader right of spawn but I'm pretty sure we all know where he is. The weapon also has a Vitality rune slot which can be filled with a Vitality rune, to get the Vitality rune please look into the [Vitality Feather](broken://pages/OOfBQhjbQUdL130lfqD7).

### You've learned how to walk!

Now it's time we talk! It's time to head back into [Durel](broken://pages/UHZ6lBr7UiuzAqu3XhN6) to finally find some Amber wooho :tada:!\
Alot of players like to call this the middle ore, as with it you can both kill Maalik if you had difficulties in Malachite as well as try on the second **Progression Boss Holy Guardian.** The weapon he drops is both deadly and fast and it also has a **Precision Rune** Slot to buff it's crit and parry percentages.

### Time to learn how to ride a bike!

*"Uhh I never learned how to ride one in real life"* - You probably. \
Jokes aside here's a [tutorial how to ride a bike](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyLlw1CgXf8\&t=2s). Moving on. It's time to head to [Durel](/durel/custom-ores) dun dun duuuun. You need to head above 10k+ to find Ruby. Bring any potions, golden apples, totems, anything that can save you in a dire situation. Once you're fully geared in Ruby it's time to find and take on the [Ancient Dragons](/modded-survival/overworld/about-durel/mobs/ancient-dragons)! They can do alot of damage and are fast so it's recommended to be careful with them. They drop a very good shield which is very useful in boss fights.

# Stage IV

They grow up sooo fast!

### You've made it to the top 6% of the current community!

Now that we have a full Ruby set from **Stage III** along side a good shield and good weapons it's time to either explore the depths of [Durel](/durel/custom-ores) mountains above 20k to find Jade or to form a Ruby equipped party and take on the third [**Progression Boss - Void Monarch**.](/important-concepts/mechanics/progression-bosses/v-void-monarch)

# Mechanics

What are mechanics?

## Basic Information

Each server has certain mechanics. Dragon Shield is a friendly MMO RPG server we will be explaining what we have on the server to keep us this way this will include a detailed explanation about player warps, custom enchants, claiming, player shops, jobs, playtime ranks, events skill and etc.\
\
**Also do notice each world has their own custom and different mechanics please do go through that. before venturing out in a dangerous area where you perhaps may loose all your items.**

# Forbidden Fruits

Forbidden fruits are unique loot gained by boss drops. Harder boss means better fruits. These are the types of forbidden fruits you will find:

### Forbidden Apple

![](/files/NgLNuq1se1sfOrXvESg5)

Forbidden apple is the least powerful forbidden fruit.

* **Bosses that drops this fruit:** Cleric "Z" (if defeated in combat), Nautilus Guardian, The Bee Swarm, Station Chief's Ravager, The Slimecore, Chaos Spawner, Camp Chief.

# Progression Bosses

These bosses are recommended to be beaten as you progress through the different stages of the server. They are though and may need you to be prepared to face them head on. However, all of the bosses arenas have a repair stone you can use to get your gear patched up.

### Repair Stone

Cure-your-gear-inator

At the cost of 25 exp levels, you can repair any piece of gear to its max durability. Make sure to grind up some levels in [Durel](https://wiki.drgnshield.com/worlds/durel) before trying out your luck against these fearsome foes.

# I Holy Knight

### Boss Location

You can find the Holy Knigt in the normal End (Via Portal One). Unlike with the other bosses you have to walk to this one. Once you enter a End Portal (One can be found at /pw Lootville), find a pillar with water and enderpearl into it, this will take you to the custom End Isles. Now go out and reach the cords of the **Holy Knight Boss Arena!**

### Lore

In the celestial realm of Elysium, where the purity of light reigns eternal, there existed an ancient portal shrouded in mystery and guarded by the most devout of angels. This portal, said to be a gateway to realms beyond mortal comprehension, lay dormant for eons, its purpose obscured by the sands of time.

It was through this ancient portal that the three brothers, Seraphiel, Gabriel, and Raphael, emerged into the mortal realm. Drawn by the whispers of darkness that echoed through the cosmos, the brothers ventured forth, their hearts heavy with the weight of their sacred duty.

As they stepped through the portal, they found themselves in a world unlike any they had ever known: A darkness, never seen before. Flying Rats, long corrupted elongated men. What have they've discovered

But even as they marveled at the wonders of this new world, the brothers knew that their mission was clear. With their swords held high and their spirits undaunted, they set forth to confront the darkness that threatened to engulf it, guided by the divine light that burned within their hearts.

For centuries, they wandered the mortal realm, battling against the forces of darkness wherever they found them, their presence a beacon of hope for all who dwelled in the shadow of fear. And though they faced countless trials and tribulations along the way, their faith never wavered, their resolve never faltered.

And so, it was through the ancient portal of Elysium that the Holy Knights of legend came to be, their journey an epic saga of sacrifice and redemption that would echo through the ages, inspiring all who heard of their valor and courage. And though the portal may have long since closed, its memory lives on in the hearts of those who still believe in the power of light to conquer even the darkest of nights.

# II Maalik The Forsaken

### Stag Location

The stag can be found on the left tower from spawn, you'll see some ladders. Once you climb those ladders, directly head behind on another set of ladders where you'll find the **Demonic** Stag.

Demonic Stag

### Lore

In the annals of celestial history, there exists a tale of **Maalik The Forsaken**, once hailed as the Forsaken Angel. Cast from the lofty heights of his divine station, he now prowls the infernal realms, a pawn ensnared by the machinations of Hell itself. The echoes of his anguish resound still, a haunting lamentation born from the corruption of his once immaculate soul, now steeped in the depths of hatred and despair.\

### Stats

**Maalik The Forsaken** has two stages, each having **8k HP (with an extra 3k HP per player in the battle)**, and do notice normal arrows do not work on progression bosses! His path finding goes for the nearest target, which makes killing him in a party of geared people easier. His claw attack does though stop and lock in enemies, so be careful of that one. One if his strongest attacks is the Seismic Smash which does **40** damage to players in radius of 3 near him. His sword attack damage ranges from **25-35** depending on what attack pattern he uses. (long hit, short hit). Finally, he has a summon attack where he can summon two different Demon Minions, with a cooldown of 120 seconds per summon.

#### Ranged Minion

These small demons' arrows can deal up to **15** of per hit and have **120 HP.** Depending on Maalik's phase, one or two archers may spawn.

#### Meele Minion

These guys can deal up to **10** damage per hit and have **60 HP**. Do be careful, as Maalik can spawn two of these guys. Very annoying during the fight, a good way to counter them is to assign a weaker party member to clear them.

### Recommended Gear

It's recommend to either have a party of [**Stage II**](/important-concepts/progression-guide/stage-ii) (Malachite) players if you're taking him on early game.

If you wish to try to solo it, we truly do recommend Stage III gear, the further down [**Stage III**](/important-concepts/progression-guide/stage-iii) the easier it will get. He's pretty tankable in Amber, while very survivable in Malachite. Make sure to have Unbreaking VI, EXP pots and Mending as your gear in early stages can be easily broken by this boss.

### Drops

Each Progression Boss has their own weapon with custom mechanics and stats. **Maalik The Forsaken** is no different. ### Lore

In the ancient realm of Elysium, where the gods once walked among mortals, there lived a humble and righteous man named Job. He was known throughout the land for his unwavering faith and his dedication to righteousness. However, the gods, observing Job's steadfastness, decided to test his faith in a most unusual and challenging manner.

The mighty deity, Forgeus, master of the elements and crafts, sought to forge a mechanical giant unlike any other. Using the finest metals and enchanted mechanisms, Forgeus crafted a colossal automaton imbued with the power to manipulate the very earth itself. This mechanical behemoth, known as the Iron Colossus, stood as a testament to Forgeus's power and ingenuity.

But Forgeus desired to test the limits of mortal resilience, and so he devised a cunning plan. He decreed that Job, the righteous mortal, would be imprisoned within the heart of the Iron Colossus, tasked with maintaining its intricate mechanisms and ensuring its functionality. Thus, Job was thrust into the belly of the mechanical giant, his fate bound to its gears and pistons.

Inside the Iron Colossus, Job toiled tirelessly, surrounded by the cogs and gears of the colossal machine. He endured the heat of the forge and the deafening roar of machinery, yet his faith remained unshaken. Despite his confinement, Job continued to praise the gods and uphold his devotion to righteousness.

As the seasons passed and the Iron Colossus roamed the land, its presence became both feared and revered. Some whispered tales of the imprisoned mortal within, while others marveled at the sheer power of the mechanical giant. But amidst the clamor of gears and the rumble of metal footsteps, Job's faith endured, a beacon of hope in the heart of the machine.

\
In a twist of fate, the Iron Colossus stumbled upon a mysterious portal hidden within the depths of Elysium. As its massive form loomed over the ancient landscape, the portal beckoned with an otherworldly glow, tempting the behemoth with the promise of unknown realms beyond.

Without hesitation, the Iron Colossus stepped through the shimmering gateway, its gears grinding and pistons hissing as it traversed the threshold. And in an instant, the mechanical giant found itself transported to the world of Dragon Shield, a land teeming with magic and mystery.

But the journey through the portal wrought unforeseen consequences upon the Iron Colossus. Not only was it now a stranger in a strange land, but something peculiar had occurred within its metallic shell. The essence of the realm it had left behind seemed to linger, intertwining with its own being in an unexpected fusion of realities.

Now, trapped not only within its mechanical frame but also within the confines of the Dragon Shield's coliseum, the Iron Colossus faced a new challenge unlike any before. Its once-familiar surroundings had been replaced by towering spires and arcane energies, and the cheers of mortal spectators echoed through the arena as it stood, a silent sentinel amidst the chaos.

In this new world, the Iron Colossus would not only be tested by the might of its adversaries but also by the unfamiliar magic that pulsed through the very air. Its journey through the portal had thrust it into a realm of uncertainty and danger, where survival would require more than just brute strength.

And so, the Iron Colossus, now a stranger in a land of dragons and sorcery, awaited its fate within the coliseum of Dragon Shield, a testament to the unpredictable nature of the cosmos and the resilience of those bound by fate.

### Lore

In the dark recesses of an ancient realm, where the fabric of reality frays and unravels, there exists a being of unfathomable power and malevolence - the Void Monarch. Legends speak of this enigmatic entity as the sovereign of nothingness, ruling over the emptiness between stars and the voids between dimensions.

Long ago, before the dawn of time itself, the Void Monarch emerged from the primordial chaos, a being born from the very essence of nothingness. Its form is ever-shifting, a swirling mass of shadows and darkness, with eyes that gleam like dying stars and a voice that echoes through the void like the mournful wails of lost souls.

Throughout the ages, the Void Monarch has lurked in the shadows, biding its time and gathering its power. It is said that the mere presence of this ancient being can drive mortals to madness, twisting their minds and souls until they are but hollow shells of their former selves.

Those who have dared to seek out the Void Monarch, whether out of curiosity, ambition, or desperation, have often met with a fate worse than death. Its domain is a labyrinth of shifting realities and endless corridors of darkness, where time holds no sway and the laws of physics are mere suggestions.

To face the Void Monarch is to confront the very embodiment of oblivion itself, a battle against an opponent that knows no fear, feels no pain, and cannot be reasoned with. Only the bravest and most skilled warriors dare to challenge its might, risking everything in the hope of banishing this ancient evil back to the depths from whence it came.

But beware, for those who seek to vanquish the Void Monarch must be prepared to sacrifice everything, for in the end, victory may come at a price too terrible to bear.
His void pillars do a lot of damage but are avoidable by either dodging or hiding behind the obsidian pillars in the Arena. He sure is a heavy hitter, so stay on your toes.

### Recommended Gear

It's recommend to either have a party of late game Stage III players so Ruby gear basically. If you wish to try to solo it we truly do recommend end game Stage IV gear. Jade is very necessary to survive most of his attacks. We also recommend getting the Ancient Dragon Shield from Durel.

# About Aten

In this section, we'll discuss what unique traits are available in this Overworld dimension.

# Buffalo

One of the custom mobs that can be found in Aten are buffalos. They spawn in packs which can contain up to 10 buffalos. Every pack contains an alpha buffalo which all the smaller buffalos follow.

# Big Boy Mobs

Aten is in general a pacific place to create a base or thriving in general. However, from time to time bosses may spawn, and they are quite a challenge to fight, but also yield some interesting rewards.

Let's take a look at what kind of unique bosses Aten has in store for us...

# The Yeti

* **Recommended gear:** Enchanted Netherite (prot IV)

The abominable Yeti is a boss that spawns only in Aten, but that doesn't make him an easy foe to defeat.

First of all, this hulking beast is powerful enough to launch you flying with his powerful arms. It can also breathe cold air at you, causing freezing over time. Lastly, this creature can pick up large amounts of snow and weaponize it.

Some say that there's a way to stun this creature for a few seconds, but this last bit is just a rumor that has to be proven...

### Loot

#### And What is a Water Spellbook?

Great question! In Dragon's Shield there's a unique mana system where you can cast spells and skills from special items, and this spellbook is one of them, the very first one if I must add.

Water Spellbook

# Armors

The gear in this list is made for starter players, and it is as strong as vanilla gear, hence the name. It can also be crafted using vanilla resources.

## Amethyst Armor ![](/files/G0VVeBTWQRaudQqUc5r9)![](/files/nS7jnDkl6HG0LIesJJK9)![](/files/DjoGXR52oI6UAXU1cnQW)![](/files/tTfVNi19llFFb7iix5lE)

The very first gear you will come with, just as strong as Iron but with lower durability. You cran craft **Amethyst armor** with amethyst shards. You can also claim you first set of amethyst with /kit starter.

## Copper Armor ![](/files/m3AgEEqaZPwhTUnrTLo2)![](/files/mGYvEj6sjkoSUamT9ySF)![](/files/Tedzulu3y3NE1kCsb062)![](/files/hCWOf9nVecGMyFcutVVY)

Copper was once the most useless mineral out there, until now! Here on Dragon Shieldd, you can craft **Copper armor using in**gots and wax. The armor has similar stats to iron, but helps the player circulate mana boosting his over mana stat.

## Silver Armor ![](/files/bNJjxlP6rbUwQFHCMhMp)![](/files/IuXRNU7iJrCASkyOFFwO)![](/files/1iCz8O4KwqtyM10mWpAy)![](/files/gXSRi8q2I4kZw05KNvLb)

This valuable gem, once used as currency for villager trading, is also a material to craft **Emerald armor**. Just as strong as Diamond, this gear not only offers great protection, but also offers some luck points, which can be useful when exploring the many dungeons in Dragon Shield.

Bear in mind, however, that this armor requires blocks to be crafted, not single emeralds.

## Golem Heart Armor

An iron-made magical armor crafted using the remnants of iron golems. The Golem-Heart Armor gives the player a sturdy aura that makes it stronger but also slower. Requires iron blocks for skill activation.

* **Where to craft:** find the monolith recipe in the [Forgotten Fields of Flanders](/modded-survival/structures/special-dungeons/forgotten-field-of-flanders)

## Silver Armor ![](/files/nZAkp6jXjy84FcVkwpLD)![](/files/vJVX2IecYE9eIz9y5Kuo)![](/files/AGOFrTF3sg6vDrigPzcc)![](/files/NorKP068frvYAUs1fyJt)

#### Materials Needed

**Silver Armor** can be crafted with **Silver Nuggets**! You get `Silver Nuggets` from **Silver Golems** found at silver boulders in the Arg dimension. To craft it you use nuggets, you can get 9 nuggets from an ingot.

# Weapons and Tools

# Custom Fishing

Out with the plain in with the custom :

## How it works

Fishing Mechanics are fully re-worked on DS! Once you catch something a different minigame Will pop up on your screen! Each fishy has a different sell price which is based on it's rarity (which can be Normal, Silver and Gold) as well as the actual size of the fishy which is random. To sell the custom fish do either **/fm** or **/fishmarket**

## Fishing Gear

There's different fishing gear you can buy from the /shop and each one has a detailed explanation in it's lore so we won't be putting it in the wiki. Although something which is not in the wiki is the mechanics of some which I will cover here. To use a bait put it into your off-hand and throw your reel. When it comes to the hook just drag and drop it onto your rod. To fish in the nether you need a bone rod which can be bought from the shop.

## Type Of Fishing Games

                                        **The Normal Basic Fishing Game**

Aww no fishy for you >:)

In some fishing games you have to hold down **SHIFT** for example the goal in this one is to keep your fishy on the green bar until the bar up there fills up fully

Cmon! You can do it!

In this minigame you're supposed to get the fishy to the finish line while pressing shift to control it! But do be careful don't hold it for too long or the line will snap.

Go fishy go!

# Custom Blocks

New tools to build your base

If you are the building type of player, then you're in luck! Here, you can get a brand new batch of building blocks to create some impresive structures to make your base, show off with your friends or even enjoy our regular competitions. Here's a small teaser of what you can find:

Brand new blocks (September 2024)

If you don't know how to get or craft these new blocks, here's a few tips on what you need to do:

* **Calcite** is now available in their polished variant (polished bricks, polished stairs and polished cracked bricks as well).
* **Silt**, a brand new material, can be crafted using Dirt and Calcite.
* **Packed Silt** can be crafted by mixing 8 Silt and one dye of your choice (color blocks!). You'll get 4 of these per craft.
* **Packed Silt Shingles** can be obtained by smelting Packed Silt.

### It's building time!

As of September 2024's update, the current prices of building blocks in /shop will be heavily reduced to encourage players to create some cool structures. Also, all the 36 new blocks included in that update will be available in the "Custom Blocks" section in /shop, so make sure to give it a look! Of course, more blocks will be added in the upcoming future, but in the meantime, you'll get a loot of options to create your base!
